All pictures are on my friends camera unfortunately as mine broke at an Arctic Monkeys show last year

Interpol last night were amazing – not only was it a brilliant choice of set (which would only have been improved for me had they played the brilliant Public Pervert) but on top of that, Paul Banks was wearing a jaunty hat! Score!

The crowd went particularly mad for The Heinrich Maneuver, C’Mere and Evil which was more than a relief as they weren’t showing much enthusiasm for the opening song (Pioneer to the falls). Luckily Slow Hands was all the encouragement they needed to start jumping, dancing and, of course, punching.

It was an older crowd than most shows actually, which made me feel kind of cool. Jokes aside, I did actually see a few folks who must’ve been pushing 60. I like to think they were jumping along with the best of them.

There was only one star that night though, Carlos D. Believe me when I say there was a lot of love coming through for that rock’n'roller. And his bass went right through me for the whole night. I didn’t mind. Love you Carlos ;)
